Security and data handling

Focused connector boundary

Descrybe receives the legal-research tool request an assistant sends. Connecting Legal Engine does not give Descrybe general access to an assistant account, tenant, email, workspace, or files.

No Descrybe model training

Descrybe does not use customer prompts, files, or conversational history to train Descrybe-owned models.

New York data region

Customer data stored by Descrybe is hosted on DigitalOcean infrastructure in the New York City region.

Encryption

Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. DigitalOcean-managed database and object-storage services provide encryption at rest.

SOC 2 readiness in progress

Descrybe is actively completing control implementation and evidence collection in preparation for an independent SOC 2 examination.

Verification with human review

Legal Engine can help inspect sources, citations, quotations, treatment, and citing cases. No individual check certifies an entire answer or legal analysis as correct.

Supported AI environments

These listings confirm where Descrybe Legal Engine is currently available. Each provider remains a separate service with its own account, terms, and requirements. A provider listing confirms availability; it is not a certification of Descrybe's legal accuracy, security, or compliance.

An organization owner can add the verified Descrybe connector from Claude’s Connectors Directory. Each member then authenticates with an individual Descrybe account.

Descrybe Legal Engine is one of 26 partner-built plugins launched by OpenAI to connect ChatGPT with specialist legal tools and knowledge, including in organization-managed ChatGPT Enterprise workspaces.

Descrybe is a Microsoft-published Source enabled by default for Microsoft 365 tenants unless an administrator disables it.
